Terms and Conditions

Welcome to Boxgo™, operated by JH Movers LLC (“we,” “our,” or “us”). By using our website or services, you agree to these Terms and Conditions, which act as a legal agreement between you (the “Client”) and us.

1. Booking & Payment Terms

  • All bookings must be made through our website at https://jhmovers.com.
  • Payment must be received and confirmed before service begins.
  • Accepted forms: Zelle, Venmo (business), CashApp, bank transfer (24h prior), or cash.
  • ID verification is required before unloading.
  • We reserve the right to cancel or refuse any booking at our discretion.

2. Cancellations & Rescheduling

  • You must provide at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling.
  • Same-day cancellations or no-shows are non-refundable.
  • Rescheduling is allowed based on crew availability.
  • If your location is inaccessible, unsafe, or inaccurate, the job may be cancelled without refund.

3. Refund & Chargeback Policy

  • Chargebacks filed without contacting us first will be treated as fraud and may be pursued legally.
  • Refunds are only issued when services cannot be rendered due to our fault.
  • No refunds are provided once the move begins.
  • We reserve the right to report dishonest chargebacks to credit bureaus or collections.

4. Property Damage & Liability

  • We are not responsible for pre-existing damage or structurally unstable items.
  • You must notify us of any damage before the crew leaves the job site.
  • Our maximum liability is $0.60 per pound per item, per California P.U.C. regulations, unless additional coverage is arranged in writing.
  • We are not liable for:
    • Particleboard or unreinforced furniture
    • Electronics not professionally packed
    • Unlabeled, loose, or unsealed boxes
    • Customer-handled or third-party-loaded items

5. High-Value Items Disclosure

Clients must disclose in writing any individual item valued at $500 or more prior to the move. This includes:

  • Jewelry, artwork, antiques
  • Designer furniture or bags
  • Electronics, collectibles, or irreplaceable heirlooms

Failure to disclose such items releases Boxgo™ and JH Movers LLC from all liability related to loss, damage, or mishandling. We may decline to move undisclosed high-value items or require a signed waiver.

6. Specialty & Oversized Items

  • Items such as pianos, safes, treadmills, or gym machines must be disclosed before booking.
  • Additional charges or waivers may apply.
  • We reserve the right to decline service for items not pre-approved or that pose safety risks.

7. Scope of Work

  • Our services cover basic moving labor: loading, transport, and unloading.
  • Packing is available only if arranged in advance, and you must provide materials.
  • We do not move firearms, hazardous goods, chemicals, perishables, or live animals.

8. Crews, Time & Additional Help

  • Standard bookings include up to two movers, or three movers with a premium upgrade.
  • Clients needing more help may book additional crews and trucks through our system.
  • Extra hours will be billed at the same rate if crews are available.

9. Client Responsibilities

  • Ensure access to elevators, stairs, or parking.
  • Provide accurate move details before booking.
  • An adult must be present to authorize all work.
  • If no one is present, the move may be cancelled without refund.

10. Limitation of Liability

Boxgo™ and JH Movers LLC shall not be liable for:

  • Lost wages, emotional distress, or business losses
  • Delays caused by traffic, weather, third parties, or client error
  • Damage to items not disclosed or improperly packed

By using our service, you agree to hold us harmless for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

11. Dispute Resolution

  • Any claims must be submitted in writing to support@jhmovers.com within 72 hours of the move.
  • We aim to resolve issues privately. If not, disputes will be resolved by binding arbitration in Santa Clara County, California.

12. Right to Refuse Service

We may refuse or cancel service for reasons including:

  • Unsafe work conditions
  • Verbal abuse or harassment
  • Discriminatory or aggressive behavior
  • Dishonest or incomplete job descriptions

13. Changes to These Terms

These Terms may be updated without notice. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the latest version.
